Okay, go file your complaint. Maybe IMVU will try to better educate its users on how to use the chat client so we developers won't have to deal with these issues. Just make sure you mention that I gave you a personal response and a sticker for your troubles. I also took your suggestion and posted a prominent set of instructions on the cabin since clearly you were not the only person to have this problem.

It's unfortunate you've chosen to take such a combative approach, when there really isn't a problem with the product. It is extremely frustrating to be punished (with bad reviews) because a user can't take the time to read or learn how to use a feature of a program I did not create. It takes time and effort to make products, and it's not as if many of us get paid in cash to do it. We put products out there and if we're lucky they sell. Then we take the credits we earn to create more products. Did you know it costs developers credits to submit products to the catalog? Nobody's getting a free ride here.

I have received many positive comments from people who have purchased the cabin and the entire bundle. Some had questions about how to get into the cabin -- they asked politely and I answered them and now they know a little bit more about their chat client and how to move objects around. They didn't fire off a negative review -- they contacted me directly and I was able to help them so that they could see it was just a matter of getting a little more information.

When you have a bad experience in business, whether in real life or online, you owe it to yourself to contact the merchant FIRST. If they don't respond or you're not satisfied with the response, THEN by all means, tell the world about it. But it is extremely unfair to complain publicly until you've given the merchant a chance to respond to your issues. Not only that -- it makes you look foolish when it turns out it's not the product, but rather your lack of understanding of the medium.
